Centre for Counselling Assessment and Remedial Education (CCARE)
Centre For Counselling Assessment And Remedial Education (CCare) was established on 31st march 2004 by Dr. Raj Gupta. Currently Dr. Kuldeep Kaur is the coordinator. The objectives of CCare are:
To provide additional training of students of M.Ed.; M.A.( Education); Ph.D. scholars.
To assist schools in two ways: firstly to identify children who are to risk of being disabled, secondly to provide counseling facilities to the children with emotional, behavioral and other problems.

Department of Education Ex-Student's Association (DEESA)
DEESA was established in September 2004 under the Patron ship of Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh. It has Prof. J.N. Joshi an eminent educationist as its President Dr. Kirandeep Singh was entrusted with the responsibility of its secretary cum treasures. Currently Dr. Latika Sharma is incharge of Alumni.
The objectives of this association are to provide a platform: To alumni of department to exchange ideas, share their views on any subject and in turn to know each other. While interacting with members of alumni gives an insight into placement opportunities to current batch of students after they finish their M.Ed./M.A.
PLACEMENT CELL
The Department of Education had started its placement cell under the charge of Dr. Latika Sharma from the session 2003-04, now looked after by Dr. Kuldeep Kaur. Its main objectives are:
To ensure network between Colleges/Departments of Education and premier institutions of Secondary Education in the region with Department of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
To build up a data base of students of the four courses run by the Department on the basis of their educational and professional qualifications, experience and interest in allied professions.
To create continuously updated computerized record of trained manpower available from the Department of Education.
To collect manpower requirements from institutions in the region.
To inform and guide students and ex-students about vacancies occurring in institutions of education in the region.
To invite suggestions from Heads of institutions to continuously streamline the manpower demand and supply chain.
To enable the department to hold campus interviews for eligible students and ex-students.
